So, you're thinking of entering a figure competition. Hey, that's great. But let me ask you a question. Have you really sat down and thought about what's involved in preparing for the competition? It's a lot more than just striking a pose. There is a lot of hard work that goes into the preparation. In this article, I'm going to cover just a few things you need to be aware of.

First of all, and this is of course the most important, you need to get in shape. You're going to be going up against some incredible bodies. This is no high school dance. So that means a solid diet and a steady exercise routine. This is probably going to be the hardest you've ever worked just to get into shape. And just when you think you're done%u2026there's more.

After you're actually ready for the competition, then there is all that stuff that so few people really give any thought to because they think it's secondary. Oh how wrong they are. Like what? Well, let's start with choosing the suit you're going to wear. Not every suit looks good on every body. You need to make sure that you pick one out that absolutely complements the way you look or you're goose is going to be cooked.

Then there is the makeup. Let me tell you something. You don't want to put on makeup that is going to melt under those hot lights. That could turn into a real embarrassing scene%u2026not to mention marks against you. You want to make sure that your makeup is competition tested. So don't skimp on the cheap stuff. So your best bet is to go with something like Lancome or Estee Lauder. You can't go wrong with their products.

Then there is your hair. So many competitors make mistakes in this area. Trust me on this. Go take a look at the Victoria Secret models and the way they wear their hair. That's the kind of look you want to go for. It is the most successful in all of these competitions based on statistics. Yeah, there are people who actually record stupid stats like these. Be glad that they do.
